I understand real life assisting a wedding planner is the #1 ideal way to get experience, but I do have event planning experience already. It’s not in the wedding field, but with nonprofits.

Anyway, aside from that, I was specifically wondering about possible online courses or a good program that’s nationwide? (Preferably in Oklahoma City, OK or in Texas).

I’m thinking about doing this, but is it realistic for this to possibly be a full time career? Or is it something most people do on the side? I live in nj close to ny and I really want to try working in wedding planning. I’d love to find a job as an assistant or intern for an event planning firm to get my foot in the door but I have had a hard time finding openings or information. Any ideas, tips, suggestions are welcome. Thank You !!!!
