Piqued My Interest

This book has made me take notice of any toppers I see in antique malls and shops - I am not a collector of wedding cake toppers so wasn't sure if this book would interest me or not but from the minute I started looking at it, I could hardly put the book down! Visually, this book was a treat to be able to see such sharp pictures and details of each topper. The toppers were clearly seen and different details were pointed out. The historical information that was given concerning toppers, styles of both toppers and wedding dresses, was interesting and I felt that I learned a lot of things I had not previously known. This was a very informative book which I enjoyed in both reading it and looking at the wonderful pictures!

As wedding and special event photographers, we have seen many, many wedding cake toppers from fresh flowers to 50-year old cake toppers to elaborate hand-blown glass pieces. However we've never seen such a large collection of cake toppers from vintage to new and can also proudly state that we were also one of the group of photographers for this book.
We can honestly say that we've never seen such painstaking care and detailing of any collectible collection. You can tell that the author truly enjoys her toppers and that she really wants to share that emotion with others. It was also very thoughtful of her to bring in other types of cake toppers, including the handmade ones. The time and effort that went into publishing this book is amazing.
We own and have read other books about collectibles, and as far as we're concerned, this book is right up there with the best of them!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BOOK!

This is SUCH a WONDERFUL overview of some EXQUISITE VICTORIAN WEDDING CAKE TOPPERS, as well as a nicely written HISTORY.

An AMAZING COLLECTION to be truly proud of! I learned SO MANY things from this book that I NEVER would have if I had not purchased this book.

A great overview of the CAKE TOPPERS history from their inception up to and including the WAR YEARS. THANK YOU for what must have been HOURS of a labor of LOVE to compile this book.

A DEFINITE MUST HAVE in your COLLECTIBLES Library!
Beautiful Book

This book is stunning...the excellent color photographs are enhanced by the high quality paper used for printing. I buy many books with photographs, hardback and softcover, and this is one of the most beautiful.

176 pages of interesting reading, descriptions and pricing, and page after page of eye candy. The book is very well written: all the factual information that is necessary in determining the value of the items as well as personal experiences and humor to save the reader from the mundane.
