I’m getting married in March of 2008 and I’m having trouble finding bridal stores where you can try on dresses. It seems all you can find is dresses online. I know there’s Davids Bridal, but are there any other stores similiar to it? Thanks for your help. P.S. Would really like something with a vintage flair.

Davids Bridal.
Me and my best friend practically lived there for the summer.
Well, we don’t know where you live, but the stores where I shopped let me try on as many dresses as I wanted.
THere should be litlle boutiques in your town that have them there that you can try on. We have about 10 in my city
where do you live, you can go to Yahoo and put in bridal stores. you can use Map quest and other web sites to help you get there. try the yellow pages for bridal or formal wear too. Good luck
i know bloomingdales or some high end department stores had wedding dresses
i saw a woman trying on dresses…they had ALOT of them
from davids to vera wang!
i know you said david’s bridal, but you should really go in there one day and look around… i bought my dress there in feb. of this year, and it had a vintage look to it… ~so beautiful… start there, they probably have what you want… and they should have their huge sale coming up soon.
Second Hand Stores ( and you did mention a interest in vntage, right???) will let you try anything on??
I think, here in California, the Gottschalk’s Department Stores used to let customers try on their gowns. GL
Most bridal shops let you try on any dress they have in stock. When I got married I went to bridal shows and found the dress I wanted. Looked up local bridal shops (the smaller ones are actually nicer) and asked if they had it. First one did, I went and tried it on and ordered it. Your best bet is to Yellow Page bridal shops in your area and go to them, most have catalogs of designers and such. Alfred Angelo is what my dress was, go to his website. Theres a lot of good dresses on there and most places have them.
You don’t actually say where you are so it is hard to help. There are bridal shops all over the place and they will normally want you to book an appointment as they like to take time with their clients to help them find what they want, and through experience, they know how indecisive a bride and her mother/female friends can be, so they are very patient.
What city do you live in/around?
Most bridal stores allow you to try on dresses. Go to the website and it will give you great advice and lots of stores!
Don’t you have any bridal dress warehouses in your area, it’s not really a warehouse, but a huge huge store. There are a few here in the S.F. bay area.
Try a bridal store outlet if there’s one year you. I got a beautiful new silk bridal dress (the dress of my dreams) for only $220. they let me try on anything I wanted, too.
I tried tons of upscale boutiques that offered me champagne when I came in to try dresses on, but I found that the best service, nicest people and best dresses were at David’s Bridal. I found my dress there and they were super-helpful. They remembered my name when I came back in!
My dress also had a rather vintage flair.
