I took my maid of honor. We had fun. I took her because she know my style and she will be honest with me. ( and she’s my best friend) We’ve been friends since middle school

My son was with me when I bought the dress. I went by myself for the last fitting and I wish my moh would have been there, I couldn’t do my bustle and it keep falling during the reception….lol

when looking for dresses and trying them on, i went with my fiance. not traditional, i know. when my dress arrived, i went with my sister (bridesmaid) to try it on. after alterations, i took my best friend (maid of honor) for a last fitting.

My daughter was home over Thanksgiving and her sister was home from college. The three of us went together and had a great time and she found the perfect dress.

When we went bridesmaid shopping and mom-of-bride shopping, it was the bridesmaids, me and the brides grandmom. The grandmother won’t be able to attend the wedding (due to health problems of the grandfather). The grandmom had a GREAT time being included in the shopping trip.

I think it’s a lovely idea to take your dad with you. He knows you well, will give you an honest opinion AND a male opinion!

I took my father…just ignore the strange looks from ignorant women with dated opinions. I nearly dared one of them to open her mouth and say what the heck her problem was!
My dad happens to have better taste than my mother did and my mother passed away 10 years ago so he’s stuck with both roles regardless!

when i went the first time i just took my mom then when i got it narrowed down to 3 dresses i took my grandmother,MOH, mom, and future mother-in-law.

Me, myself and I. I first went with my mom and maid of honor. They were steering me into dresses they liked so I went back out by myself. I tried on a bunch and found the dress I wanted, but found 2 others I kind of liked too. So then I brought them back and we all agreed the one I liked was the dress. It’s OK to bring your dad with you. You can always do what I did and bring him when you have narrowed down your selections.
