Brandi asked:
okay so my wedding colors are black red and silver i am tring to pair the queen of the night tulip(black looking flower)…with flowers that are red, which shouldnt be a probelm but what do i do to incorporate silver? are there any flowers that look silver? Also does anyone have any ideas about other things to do in the whole black silver red concept.
Also if you could let me know what red flower you think would go good with the black tulips thatd be great

You can have flowers dyed silver…kind of. Or you could use silver accents – vases, glitter on the table, ribbons etc.
I don’t think there are silver flowers unless you spray paint them (which IMO is a lil tacky). I’d use silver ribbon to accent the flowers.
You can use that silver curling wood that a lot of florist use or you can make your sashes that bind the bouquet sliver. These would probably be the easiest and less expensive
you can either have your florist but some sliver glitter on the edges of some of the pellets ‘I’ve seen this done on roses’ or the cheaper and simpler option of tying it with a sliver ribbon. I love your color scheme by the way and queen of the nights look great ‘them and black rose are some of my favorite flowers it’s ***** they always charge an arm and a leg for them though. congrats
a friend of mine had the tops of the tulips spray painted with a special gold paint (looked like the tip had been dipped in gold) when she told me she was doing this i thought it was weird but on the day it looked very effective – you could ask your florist about it and see if they could do it in silver or even ask to see a picture. you could even have silver organza ribbon around the stems hope this has helped.
you can spray paint your flowers silver or use some sliver sprigs or something to stick out.
Incorporate your silver in the vase use only 2 or 3 flowers in a tall silver vase.
Maybe 1 (black) tulip with 2 (Red) side flowers?
There is a realllllly dark calla lilly almost black that looks beautiful with red roses… For the silver i would add crystal stems (you can google crystals for bouquets) it looks beautiful. There is actually ALOT of pictures of bouquets on ..good luck.
